TYPICAL TWO BOX APPLICATION COMPONENTS LIST & RELATED NOTES
A typical two box application that has one refrigerator box and one freezer box should consist of the following:
1) The condensing unit. Or two condensing units, one AC & one DC, if it is a dual circuit application as well.
2) Solenoid Valve Tee assembly (one per condensing unit), 12VDC solenoid for use with AC condenser, or
DC solenoid must match the DC condensing unit's voltage (12, 24 or 32).
3) Check Valve Tee assembly (one per condensing unit).
4) Expansion Valves: Two per condensing unit, one for each box of a single circuit or two for each box of a dual circuit.
Valves must be ordered specifically for the capacity of the plate(s), type of box (refer or freezer), and refrigerant used.
5) T-Stats: Two per condensing unit (one for each box of a single circuit or two for each box of a dual circuit).
T-Stats must ordered specifically for the type of box (refer or freezer) and the temperature of the holdover plate(s).
6) In a single circuit application the holdover plates will have crossovers while in a dual circuit system they will not.
7) A dual circuit system, with one AC condenser & one DC condenser, requires one AC pump & one DC pump.
8) Refer to drawing G2030015 in the Grunert AC/DC manual for a sample schematic of a two box, dual circuit system.
9) Solenoid Valves and Check Valves are not needed for single box applications.
10) Seawater pump(s) and related components to be sized for condensing unit(s).
